A much-loved event of Gold Coast locals and popular attraction for tourists around Australia, the annual Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival will be celebrating 16 years in 2017! On from the 18th of May to the 21st, the Blues on Broadbeach festival is free to attend and has won countless awards over the years, including Best Regional Event in Queensland four years running. The festival is home to over 50 bands who descend to the Broadbeach CBD each year to create an atmosphere that needs to be seen to be believed. This year, event-goers can see the likes of Bonnie Tyler, Ian Moss, Slim Jim Phantom Trio, Kevin Borich, Ray Beadle, Harts and many more.
There will be performances at numerous locations and venues around Broadbeach. Outdoor performances are all ages however some licenced venues have age restrictions. You’re welcome to bring your own chair and, if you get in early, snag a good spot! With cafés, restaurants and bars in the Broadbeach area aplenty, you’ll have heaps of great options to choose from, whether you’re up for a delicious meal, a coffee or a few drinks. There is security in the area to help maintain the family-friendly nature of the event too.
Accommodation fills up quickly for this event so make sure you book in early! Diamond Beach Resort is a 15 minute walk to the heart of the festival (or a 4 minute drive), but just far enough away to give you a quiet place to rest at the end of a big day at the festival.

The Hinterland is great for adventure seekers where you can try abseiling, bush walking and 4WD tours, as well as those looking to get away from the crowds and relax amongst the scenic views of the gorgeous nature around them.
